Our Mission

Defend the Nation and the global Internet

Our Story

SixMap’s journey began with Dr. Austin Murdock, whose career in the Department of Defense (DOD) was inspired by his parents’ distinguished service in national security. His dedication to cybersecurity and national defense propelled him to early achievements, including working for the DOD in high school.

In 2017, during his PhD at the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Murdock developed Computational Mapping and first applied it to Internet-wide IPv6 scanning. In 2020, recognizing this technology’s transformative potential for defending computer networks, Dr. Murdock founded SixMap.
